Accura Engineering is seeking a skilled Fire Protection Engineer for a Fort Worth, TX project. The role focuses on fire/life safety systems, reviews and coordination with project teams, and compliance with UFC 3-600-01 and NFPA standards.

The ideal candidate has a PE license, a mechanical engineering background, and at least five years in fire protection, with federal project experience preferred. The position offers competitive salary and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• PE license required.
• Minimum five years in Fire Protection Engineering.
• Knowledge of UFC 3-600-01 and NFPA fire/life safety standards.
• USACE or federal project experience preferred.
• Experience with QA, commissioning, and acceptance testing.
• Familiar with RMS/QCS and federal CM practices.
• Strong technical writing and project coordination.

Responsabilités

• Understand fire protection requirements per UFC 3-600-01 and NFPA standards.
• Attend meetings and coordinate with stakeholders on fire protection features.
• Perform BCOES and plan-in-hand reviews using lessons from all project phases.
• Conduct inspections per project docs and contract requirements.
• Prepare reports identifying deficiencies and corrective actions.
• Provide guidance on facility design and fire protection systems.
• Serve as fire-safety consultant to managers and government personnel.
• Review submittals and provide technical comments.
• Evaluate RFIs and review field changes.
• Schedule final acceptance testing of fire protection systems.
