Job summary

Accura Engineering seeks a Fire Protection Engineer to support federal construction projects at Fort Hood, TX. You will serve as the subject matter expert for fire and life safety systems, ensuring compliance with UFC 3-600-01 and NFPA standards throughout all construction phases.

The role involves design reviews, inspections, QA/QC, acceptance testing, and coordination with project teams, government personnel, and contractors. A PE license and US federal project experience are highly preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (accredited).
• PE license required.
• Minimum of five years of Fire Protection Engineering experience.
• Familiarity with UFC 3-600-01 and NFPA standards.
• USACE or federal project experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Understand UFC 3-600-01 and NFPA fire protection requirements.
• Attend meetings and coordinate with stakeholders on fire protection features.
• Perform design reviews, inspections, and submittal reviews.
• Conduct QA/QC, acceptance testing, and RFI responses.
• Provide guidance on facility design and life-safety systems.
