Job summary

Accura Engineering & Consulting Services, Inc. seeks a Fire Protection Engineer to support federal construction projects at Fort Hood, Texas. You will act as the SME for fire and life safety systems, ensuring compliance with UFC 3-600-01 and NFPA standards.

Responsibilities include design reviews, inspections, QA, submittal reviews, acceptance testing, and coordination with project teams across all stages of construction. PE license and 5+ years experience required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
• Minimum of five (5) years of fire protection engineering experience.
• Experience with UFC 3-600-01 and NFPA standards.
• Experience on USACE or federal projects is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide fire protection engineering support for federal construction projects.
• Serve as SME for fire and life safety systems and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Perform design reviews, inspections, QA, and submittal reviews.
• Coordinate with project teams through all construction phases.
• Schedule final acceptance testing of fire protection systems.
