Job summary

Shambaugh & Son, L.P. is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Designer / Project Manager to design, coordinate, and execute fire sprinkler systems for diverse projects.

You will create code-compliant layouts using AutoCAD, HydraCAD, and AutoSPRINK, perform hydraulic calculations, and develop fabrication drawings and material lists. Role includes coordinating with stakeholders, supporting projects from design through installation, and BIM modeling.

Qualifications

• Associate or technical degree in a technical or business discipline preferred or equivalent experience
• NICET certification preferred
• AutoCAD, Revit, and/or Hydratec experience preferred
• Valid driver’s license and excellent driving record
• Excellent communicator with strong organizational skills
• Regular and reliable attendance; ability to work extended hours and weekends as required

Responsibilities

• Design and layout of Fire Sprinkler systems using AutoCAD, HydraCAD, and AutoSPRINK
• Read, analyze and interpret contract documents including construction drawings and specs
• Coordinate with customers, contractors, and internal teams; develop fabrication drawings and material lists
• Provide BIM modeling and field surveying support for projects
• Perform hydraulic calculations and project cost analysis
• Prepare and present design concepts to stakeholders
