Job summary

Shambaugh & Son, L.P. is seeking a highly motivated Fire Sprinkler Designer / Project Manager to join our Fire Protection team.

The role focuses on designing, coordinating, and executing fire sprinkler systems for commercial, industrial, healthcare, institutional, and specialty construction projects. The position involves creating code-compliant layouts using AutoCAD, HydraCAD, and AutoSPRINK, performing hydraulic calculations, and developing fabrication drawings and material lists while

Qualifications

• Associate or Technical Degree in a technical or business discipline preferred or equivalent experience.
• Fire Protection design experience preferred.
• NICET certification preferred.
• AutoCad, Revit, and/or Hydratec Experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and excellent driving record.
• Excellent communicator with strong organizational skills.
• Regular and reliable attendance, including extended hours and weekends as required.
• Only applicants who possess the minimum qualifications will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Design and layout of Fire Sprinkler systems.
• Read, analyze and interpret contract documents and drawings.
• Write, plan, coordinate, and present information to individuals and groups.
• Perform hydraulic calculations and project cost analysis.
• Develop relationships with customers to ensure satisfaction.
• Provide fire sprinkler designs with AutoCAD, HydraCAD, and AutoSPRINK.
• BIM modeling and field surveying responsibilities.
• Coordinate fabrication lists and between trades.
• Other duties as assigned.
