Job summary

Shambaugh & Son is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Designer / Project Manager to design, coordinate, and execute fire sprinkler systems for commercial, industrial, healthcare, and institutional projects. Proficiency with AutoCAD, HydraCAD, and AutoSPRINK is required, along with hydraulic calculations and BIM modeling.

You will collaborate with customers, contractors, and internal teams from design through installation, balancing technical design with project coordination to deliver code-compliant

Qualifications

• Associate or Technical Degree in a technical or business discipline preferred or equivalent experience.
• Fire Protection design experience preferred.
• NICET certification preferred
• AutoCad, Revit, and/or Hydratec Experience preferred
• Valid driver's license and excellent driving record
• Excellent communicator, self-motivated individual with great organizational skills
• Only applicants who possess the minimum qualifications will be considered
• Regular and reliable attendance, including the ability to work extended hours and weekends as required

Responsibilities

• Responsible for designing and the layout of Fire Sprinkler systems
• Read, analyze and interpret contract documents, including all disciplines of construction drawings and specifications
• Write, plan, coordinate, and make presentations to individuals and groups
• Work with and comprehend mathematical concepts including hydraulic calculations and project cost analysis
• Develop positive and ongoing relationships with customers to ensure satisfaction
• Provide fire sprinkler designs with AutoCAD, HydraCAD, and AutoSPRINK
• Responsible for BIM modeling and field surveying
• Provide lists for fabrication and coordinate between the trades
• Other duties as assigned
