Shambaugh is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Designer to design Fire Protection Systems for all types of projects. You will design layouts using AutoCAD/HydraCAD and create hydraulic calculations and pipe lists for pre-fabrication.

Responsibilities include reading contract documents, coordinating with teams, performing hydraulic analyses, building BIM models, and delivering fabrication lists. A technical degree and experience in fire protection design are preferred, with NICET and CAD familiarity

Qualificações

• Associate or Technical Degree in a technical or business discipline preferred or equivalent experience.
• Fire Protection design experience preferred.
• NICET certification preferred
• AutoCAD, Revit, and/or Hydratec Experience preferred
• Valid driver’s license and excellent driving record
• Regular and reliable attendance; ability to work extended hours and weekends as required
• Excellent communicator and well-organized

Responsabilidades

• Design and layout of Fire Sprinkler systems
• Read, analyze and interpret contract documents, including all disciplines of construction drawings and specifications
• Write, plan, coordinate, and present to individuals and groups
• Work with and comprehend mathematical concepts including hydraulic calculations and project cost analysis
• Develop positive and ongoing relationships with customers to ensure satisfaction
• Provide fire sprinkler designs with AutoCAD, HydraCAD, and AutoSPRINK
• Responsible for BIM modeling and field surveying
• Provide lists for fabrication and coordinate between the trades
• Other duties as assigned
