Atlantic Constructors, Inc. is seeking a Fire Protection Design Manager to oversee the design and BIM aspects of new construction sprinkler projects from our headquarters in Richmond, VA. Relocation to the Richmond area is expected for qualified candidates.

This role requires 5-7 years in fire protection design, supervisory experience, and NFPA knowledge. Proficiency in AutoCAD and related fire protection software is essential, with a strong focus on project coordination and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in fire protection design or equivalent.
• Prior supervisory/management experience is required.
• Familiarity with NFPA codes and local jurisdiction requirements.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar fire protection design software.

Responsibilities

• Supervise design/BIM for new sprinkler construction projects.
• Review drawings, submittals, and hydraulic calculations for NFPA code compliance.
• Coordinate material delivery and shop drawing processes with A/E and field teams.
• Lead kick-off meetings and maintain design files for each project.
• Support FP sales with bid take-offs and resolve design conflicts.
