Job summary

Atlantic Constructors, Inc. is seeking a capable Fire Protection Design Manager to oversee design and BIM for new sprinkler projects from our headquarters.

You will supervise a design team, review NFPA-compliant drawings, and coordinate with field staff and A/E partners to ensure seamless project delivery. The role requires 5–7 years in fire protection design, supervisory experience, and proficiency in AutoCAD and NFPA standards.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in fire protection designer and/or equivalent combo of training and experience.
• Prior supervisor/management experience.
• NICET Level II certification preferred but not required.
• Understanding of NFPA and local authorities' jurisdiction requirements.
• Proficient in Windows-based CAD and fire protection design software.

Responsibilities

• Oversee design/BIM for new construction sprinkler projects.
• Review design drawings for NFPA code compliance and project specs.
• Coordinate material submittals and hydraulic calculations review.
• Manage supplier/vendor invoices and shop drawing process with A/E teams.
• Lead design team meetings and ensure on-time project delivery.
