P2S|CMTA offers a Summer Internship in Long Beach, CA for students majoring in Mechanical Engineering or Fire Protection. You will join the Fire Protection Design Studio, gaining hands-on experience in office and field settings and contributing to client projects.

The program emphasizes real-world exposure, CAD/BIM training, and visits to project sites. The 10- to 12-week internship runs from June through August–September, with an in-office schedule.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in Mechanical Engineering or Fire Protection program.
• Training in Revit and/or AutoCAD is a plus.
• FE/EIT is a plus.
• Trained to utilize CAD/BIM standards.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-based environment; detail-oriented.

Responsabilités

• Assist the engineering team in ongoing projects.
• Design and prototype engineering drawings.
• Support testing and QA activities.
• Maintain project documentation and generate summaries.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Participate in training sessions to build skills.
