Job summary

P2S|CMTA is seeking a Mechanical Engineering student for a Summer Internship in Long Beach, CA. You will be part of the Mechanical Engineering team, gaining hands-on experience on office and field projects, with visits to project sites and internal training opportunities.

The 10-12 week program runs June through August-September, with hands-on design, prototyping, testing, and documentation duties, plus collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited university majoring in Mechanical Engineering.
• Training in Revit and/or AutoCAD is a plus.
• FE/EIT is a plus and CAD/BIM standards are encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Assist the engineering team in the execution of ongoing projects.
• Contribute to design processes by creating and modifying drawings.
• Participate in prototyping activities to test and validate concepts.
• Test and assure quality of engineering solutions with QA teams.
• Maintain project documentation and generate progress reports.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project goals.
• Engage in training sessions to enhance technical skills.
