Job summary

P2S|CMTA invites students to join our Summer Internship program in the Fire Protection Design Studio. You will gain hands-on experience on engineering projects, visiting sites, and receiving in-depth training while supporting real client work.

The 10-12 week program runs from June to August-September, with focus on learning, collaboration, and professional development in a dynamic engineering environment.

Qualifications

• Current enrollment in an accredited university program in Mechanical Engineering, Fire Protection, or related field.
• Familiarity with CAD/BIM workflows and standards is preferred.
• FE/EIT is a plus and helpful for internship eligibility.
• Willingness to learn and apply engineering fundamentals in a fast-paced team.

Responsibilities

• Support ongoing projects within the Fire Protection Design Studio.
• Assist in design and prototyping activities for engineering concepts.
• Help conduct tests and ensure quality of engineering solutions.
• Maintain project documentation and generate progress reports.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align project goals.
• Participate in training sessions to expand technical skills.
