Job summary

P2S|CMTA in Long Beach, CA, invites students majoring in Fire Protection or Mechanical Engineering to join the Summer Internship program. You will be part of the Fire Protection Design Studio, gaining hands-on experience on client projects both in office and on site, with mentorship and real-world industry exposure.

The 10-12 week program runs June through August/September, with in-office Monday–Friday scheduling.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited university majoring in Mechanical Engineering or Fire Protection.
• Training in Revit and/or AutoCAD is a plus.
• FE/EIT is a plus.
• Familiar with CAD/BIM standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist the engineering team in the execution of ongoing projects.
• Conduct research and analysis to contribute to project development.
• Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines.
• Contribute to the design process by creating and modifying engineering drawings.
• Participate in prototyping activities to test and validate design concepts.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and reports.
