Job summary

Johnson Controls in Charlotte, NC seeks a Fire & Security Service Technician to respond to service calls, diagnose equipment, and repair electronic fire alarm systems at customer sites. You will read blueprints, follow safety guidelines, train junior techs, and contribute to on-call rotations while delivering reliable, code-compliant service and clear customer communication.

This role requires physical work up to 50-70 lbs, weekend availability, and a valid driver's license to ensure timely

Qualifications

• 2+ years of documented experience in low voltage electrical systems, including Fire/Life Safety systems and related building systems.
• Experience reading blueprints, submittals, and manuals; ability to interpret schematics and system docs.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and provide strong customer communication.

Responsibilities

• Receive service calls, review issues, and confirm problem with customer.
• Diagnose, repair, and service electronic fire alarm systems at customer sites.
• Install and troubleshoot Fire & Life Safety systems and read/interpret technical documentation.
