Job summary

Johnson Controls in North Carolina seeks a skilled Fire Alarm and Life Safety Systems Technician to install, program, configure, and service systems at customer sites. You will read blueprints, coordinate with trades, instruct customers on operation, and ensure projects meet schedule while maintaining safety.

On-call rotations and valid driver’s license required. Preferred NICET Level II certification; the role requires physical work, travel to sites, and adherence to safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Three (3) years documented experience in low voltage electrical systems, including Fire/Life Safety systems.
• Experience reading blueprints, submittals, and manuals.
• Able to pass pre-employment background and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, configure, commission and service Fire Alarm and Fire Suppression Systems at customer sites.
• Execute projects on time and within installation hours.
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specs and manuals.
• Coordinate installation with trades to optimize time.
• Attend site meetings and train customers on operation.
