Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a field service professional to diagnose and repair fire alarm and related building systems at customer sites. This role requires reading blueprints, performing installations, and delivering reliable service with strong customer communication.

Ideal candidates will have 3+ years in fire life-safety systems, be physically able to handle equipment, and hold a valid driver’s license. Training, benefits, and advancement opportunities are provided by Johnson Controls.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience with fire alarm, access control, security intrusion, sound and communications systems.
• Ability to interpret blueprints, diagrams and specifications.
• Computer proficiency required.
• Able to lift 50-70 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Willingness to travel overnight.

Responsibilities

• Receive service calls and assess equipment issues.
• Diagnose problems and perform service on fire alarm systems.
• Read blueprints and manuals to repair equipment.
• Provide high level customer service and document work.
• Participate in on-call rotation and mentor teammates.
• Prepare quotes and upsell where appropriate.
