Qualifications

• 1+ years’ experience with fire alarm with exposure to access control
• Must be able to interpret blueprints, diagrams and specifications
• A good working knowledge of computers is necessary
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
• Capable of performing physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 50-70 lbs
• Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding and high lift equipment up to 40 feet
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends
• Overnight travel may be required
• Demonstrate a high level of customer service
• Maintain truck inventory to ensure timely response to customer needs
• Ability to adhere to safety guidelines and procedures
• Strong organizational skills, positive attitude, and an ability to learn quickly
• Possess a valid driver’s license and driving record that meets company requirements
• Retain licenses required by National, State and Local codes

Responsibilities

• Diagnose problems and perform service and repairs on electronic fire alarm systems at customer sites
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications and manuals
• Provide high level customer service and communicate with district staff
• Organize and complete service acknowledgements with proper coding
• Position involves programming of fire alarm, security, and access control system panels
• On-call rotation and occasional after-hours work
• Provide quotes and recommendations to improve facility efficiency
