Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking a Fire Service Technician IV to respond to service calls, troubleshoot fire alarm and life-safety systems, and perform timely repairs to keep facilities safe and operational.

This field-based role requires reading blueprints, diagnosing issues, and coordinating with customers. You will also train teammates and participate in on-call rotations to support uptime and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, submittals, and operational/product manuals.
• Knowledge of test equipment, a multimeter, a digital analyzer, and commissioning devices.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, and overnight travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose issues and perform service and repairs on electronic fire alarm systems and related building system products at customer sites.
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, schematics, software/systems, programs, and operational product manuals.
• Provide recommendations and solutions that improve facility performance and support upselling opportunities.
• Participate in on-call rotation and respond to customer needs as required.
• Help train or mentor others on the service team.
