Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Fire & Security Service Technician to respond to service calls, diagnose issues, and perform maintenance on electronic fire/life safety systems at customer sites. You will work safely and deliver code-compliant service while communicating clearly with customers and colleagues.

The role requires 2+ years in low voltage systems, ability to read blueprints, use a multimeter, and a high school diploma.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of documented experience in low voltage electrical systems, including Fire/Life Safety.
• Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, submittals, and product manuals.
• Knowledge of test equipment (multimeter, digital analyzer, commissioning devices).
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Respond to service calls and diagnose equipment issues on Fire/Life Safety systems.
• Repair electronic fire alarm systems and related building system products at customer sites.
• Install, troubleshoot, and service Fire & Life Safety systems from various manufacturers.
• Read blueprints and manuals to guide repairs and configurations.
• Document work and obtain customer signatures; participate in on-call rotation.
