Job summary

The Town of Apex is seeking a detail-oriented LSE Logistics Specialist to join the Fire Department at 315 W. Williams St. in Apex, NC. This on-site role supports inventory control, stocking, and distribution of materials to multiple fire department facilities.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED and a valid NC driver’s license (Class C). A Class B CDL and prior inventory/warehouse experience are preferred. The role is part-time, with a 19-hour workweek and a $20.00 hourly rate.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid North Carolina driver’s license (Class C) required.
• Preferred: North Carolina Class B commercial driver’s license (CDL).
• Experience in inventory control.
• Warehouse or stockroom experience.”

Responsibilities

• Maintain computerized inventory and supply distribution for the Apex Fire Department.
• Collect supply orders and gather requested materials.
• Deliver supplies to department facilities to ensure availability.
• Keep supplies organized to support accurate inventory control and efficient order processing.
• Assist Logistics Coordinator with procurement on an "as needed" basis.
• Perform related duties as required.
