SEACORP is seeking a well-qualified Fire Control Technician - Test Engineer.
SEACORP has an immediate full-time opening for a recently separated Navy Fire Control Technicians who will provide support as a Test Engineer in Newport, RI. In this position, the candidate will provide system, integration, and operational testing support for SWFTS (3rd Party Targeting, CIS, BYG-1, SONAR, Imaging, Tomahawk, and other Weapon/Combat Systems) programs for all U.S. submarine classes. The work location is Newport, Rhode Island supporting laboratories at NUWC Newport but may include travel to support test events. These events are conducted in developer facilities, onboard submarines both dockside and underway, and at Navy shipyard and shore sites.
Please note that this is not a Remote Position and that an Active Secret Security Clearance or higher is required on the date of hire.
Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in an Engineering discipline. In lieu of a bachelor’s degree, qualified candidates that have 8 years of direct combat systems and/or military experience with US Navy Submarine Combat Systems including completion of Naval Advanced "C" School in the technical field of experience can be accepted.
3 years of related experience (with the BS degree), specifically working with submarine combat systems. Direct experience with combat system cybersecurity and current cyber workforce certification a plus.
As a requirement of employment, all SEACORP employees must hold U.S. Citizenship.
