Qualifications

• 3+ years of documented experience in low voltage electrical systems.
• Experience reading blueprints, submittals, and manuals.
• Knowledge of test equipment, including multi-meter, digital analyzer, and commissioning devices.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Demonstrated customer service skills and a professional approach with customers and internal teams.
• Ability to perform physical labor up to 50–70 lbs.
• Ability to work in ladders, scaffolding, and high‑lift equipment up to 40 feet.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends.
• Maintain truck inventory to support timely response.
• Follow safety guidelines and procedures.
• Valid driver's license and driving record meeting company requirements.
• Retain licenses required by codes.

Responsibilities

• Receive service calls and diagnose equipment or system malfunctions.
• Contact customer representatives to understand problems.
• Diagnose issues and perform service and repair on electronic fire alarm systems.
• Read blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specs, and manuals.
• Service systems from multiple manufacturers, including SimplexGrinnell.
• Provide clear documentation and customer communications.
• Obtain customer signatures after service.
• Participate in on‑call rotation and mentor others as needed.
• Provide recommendations and quotes to improve performance.
