Job summary
Johnson Controls seeks an experienced field service technician to diagnose and repair fire alarm, access control, and related life-safety systems at customer sites. You will read blueprints, install and service equipment, and communicate clearly with district staff to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
The role involves on-call shifts, travel to sites, and providing quotes for recommended solutions; a valid driver’s license and state fire alarm license are required, with NICET II
Qualifications
- 3+ years’ experience with fire alarm, access control, security intrusion, sound and communications systems.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, diagrams, and specifications.
- Good working knowledge of computers and software; strong verbal/written communication.
Responsibilities
- Receive service calls and identify equipment/system issues.
- Diagnose problems and perform service and repairs on fire alarm systems at customer sites.
- Read diagrams, blueprints, and manuals to repair equipment.
- Provide excellent customer service and ensure satisfaction.
- Participate in on-call rotation and mentor teammates.
- Provide quotes and solutions to improve facility efficiency.
