Job summary

Encore Fire Protection is seeking a Fire Alarm Service Technician to inspect, test, program, service, and troubleshoot a range of fire alarm systems. The role is field-based with autonomy and opportunities for long-term career growth in life-safety systems.

Responsibilities include moving between service, testing, and repairs, communicating with customers, and ensuring systems are compliant and ready to perform.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical experience preferred.
• NICET certification in water-based systems is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within your territory.

Responsibilities

• Service, program, test, inspect, and troubleshoot fire alarm systems.
• Perform routine maintenance and corrective repairs per NFPA 72 and company standards.
• Identify code deficiencies and provide clear recommendations for improvements.
• Respond to emergency calls including nights, weekends, and on-call rotations.
• Collaborate with contractors, building personnel, and internal teams to ensure timely service.
• Document service activities clearly and accurately.
