Job summary

Atlantic Constructors is seeking a Fire Alarm Service Technician to install, troubleshoot, repair, inspect and test fire alarm systems. The role involves reading drawings, coordinating with the team, and performing inspections of fire alarm, sprinkler, and extinguisher systems.

Strong communication with customers and field staff is essential. The position requires flexibility to adapt to changing priorities, and prior experience with various system manufacturers is preferred.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of industry standards for fire alarm systems installation.
• Experience with a variety of system manufacturers.
• Troubleshooting using system manuals and online resources.
• Ability to read blueprints and wiring schematics.
• Excellent communication with customers and team.
• Flexible in adapting to changing priorities and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot and repair complex fire alarm systems with limited supervision.
• Assist in troubleshooting, inspecting and testing large-scale networked fire alarm/mass notification systems.
• Perform fire alarm, sprinkler, and extinguisher inspections.
• Read drawings and specifications to determine layout requirements.
• Assist in training and directing the day-to-day work of a helper.
• Maintain documentation for the work performed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
