Job summary

Encore Fire Protection is seeking a Fire Alarm Service Technician to inspect, test, program, and service a wide range of fire alarm systems across sites. You will troubleshoot issues, perform maintenance, and ensure compliance with NFPA 72 and NEC standards while coordinating with customers and internal teams.

Ideal candidates have strong problem-solving and communication skills, a valid driver’s license, and willingness to travel within the assigned territory to cover multiple sites.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical experience preferred.
• NICET certification in water-based systems is a strong plus.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within territory.
• Experience with NFPA 72, NEC, OSHA regulations and fire alarm theory.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, program, service, and troubleshoot fire alarm systems per NFPA standards.
• Perform routine maintenance and corrective repairs per company standards.
• Identify code deficiencies and provide professional recommendations for improvements.
• Respond to emergency calls including nights, weekends, and on-call rotations.
• Collaborate with contractors and internal teams to ensure timely service delivery.
• Document findings, work performed, and parts used; maintain clear customer communication.
• Uphold safety, quality, and customer satisfaction on every site.
