Job summary
Encore Fire Protection, the East Coast's leading fire protection company, seeks a Fire Alarm Service Technician to inspect, test, program, and repair fire alarm systems across multiple sites. You will deliver precise field service with a focus on safety, compliance, and customer communication.
You will travel within your territory, handle emergencies as needed, and collaborate with contractors and internal teams while documenting all service activities and maintaining high standards of quality
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; NICET certification is a plus.
- Experience with NFPA 72, NEC, OSHA and fire alarm theory.
- Strong problem-solving and customer communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Service, program, test, inspect, and troubleshoot basic and complex fire alarm systems.
- Perform routine maintenance and corrective repairs per NFPA 72 and company standards.
- Identify deficiencies and provide clear recommendations for improvements.
- Respond to emergency calls; participate in nights, weekends, and on-call rotations.
- Document findings, work performed, and parts used; communicate status to customers and team.
