Job summary

Encore Fire Protection is seeking a Fire Alarm Service Technician to inspect, test, program, service, and troubleshoot a range of fire alarm systems. You will travel between sites, respond to service and emergency calls, and ensure systems are compliant, reliable, and ready to perform when it matters.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, a valid electrical license, NICET certification, and strong problem‑solving and communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid electrical license in accordance with state requirements.
• NICET certification in water-based systems preferred.
• Strong understanding of NFPA 72, NEC, OSHA regulations.
• Experience with fire alarm systems from major manufacturers.

Responsibilities

• Service, program, test, inspect, and troubleshoot fire alarm systems.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs per NFPA 72 and standards.
• Identify deficiencies and recommend improvements clearly.
• Respond to emergencies, including nights, weekends, and on-call rotations.
• Document findings, work performed, and parts used accurately.
• Communicate status and next steps with customers and teams.
