Job summary

SuperHero Fire Protection, LLC. is seeking a Fire Alarm Service Technician to inspect, test, troubleshoot, service, and repair fire alarm and life safety systems on customer sites.

The role involves documenting findings, coordinating with the service team, and delivering timely and professional service. The candidate will work in the field with customers, perform ITM tasks, and participate in on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical/trade schooling a plus.
• 2+ years of experience servicing, troubleshooting, or installing fire alarm systems (commercial required).
• Knowledge of NFPA 72 and basic electrical principles; familiarity with NEC/NFPA 70 a plus.
• Ability to read drawings, riser diagrams, and manufacturer documentation.
• Proficient with computers/mobile devices for service documentation and communication.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Strong customer service, communication, and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, and maintain fire alarm systems per NFPA 72 and AHJ requirements.
• Troubleshoot alarms, diagnose issues, and restore systems to operation.
• Service fire alarm control panels and related devices.
• Perform functional and acceptance testing with customers/AHJs.
• Explain findings and recommend corrective actions for proposals/quotes.
• Complete accurate service documentation and reports.
• Coordinate with service coordinator for scheduling and communication.
• Maintain vehicle and tools; ensure safety and professional work area.
• Provide basic customer training on system operation; participate in on-call rotation.
• Assist with small installs, device replacements, and upgrades when assigned.
