Encore Fire Protection, the east coast’s largest full-service fire protection company, is seeking a Fire Alarm Service Technician in Needham, MA. You will inspect, test, program, service, and troubleshoot a wide range of fire alarm systems to ensure compliance, reliability, and readiness.

The role offers autonomy and strong growth potential in a critical industry. You will travel between sites, communicate with customers and contractors, and document activities accurately while upholding safety

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; technical experience preferred.
• Valid electrical license per state requirements.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.
• Strong knowledge of NFPA 72, NEC, OSHA regulations.
• Hands-on fire alarm systems experience with major manufacturers.

Responsibilities

• Service, program, test, inspect, and troubleshoot fire alarm systems.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs per NFPA 72 and standards.
• Identify deficiencies; provide clear recommendations for improvements.
• Respond to emergency calls; participate in nights, weekends, and on-call.
• Collaborate with contractors and internal teams for timely service.
• Document findings, work performed, and parts used clearly.
• Maintain communication with customers and supervisors.
