Johnson Controls is seeking experienced service professionals to diagnose and repair fire alarm and life safety systems on customer sites. You will read blueprints, service multiple manufacturers, and provide outstanding customer support.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience with fire alarm, access control, security intrusion, and sound/communications systems.
• Ability to interpret blueprints, diagrams, and specifications.
• Strong computer skills and ability to use basic software.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Physical ability to lift 50–70 lbs and access restricted areas.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and overnight travel.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Maintain truck inventory and safety compliance.
• Adherence to safety guidelines and procedures.
• Strong organizational skills and quick learner.
• Licenses required by national, state and local codes.

Responsibilities

• Receive service calls and assess equipment issues.
• Contact customer representative to determine problems.
• Diagnose and repair fire alarm and related systems at customer sites.
• Follow troubleshooting procedures and manuals to repair equipment.
• Service and install Life Safety systems from multiple manufacturers.
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and specs.
• Provide excellent customer service and ensure satisfaction.
• Document tasks and obtain customer signatures on completion.
• Participate in on-call rotation and mentor teammates.
• Propose solutions to improve facility efficiency and upsell where appropriate.
• Complete all required task-related documentation.
• Occasionally work after hours as needed.
• Position may include programming of alarm, security, and access control panels.
