Job summary

Johnson Controls seeks an experienced service technician to diagnose and repair fire alarm and life safety systems at customer sites. You will interpret blueprints, read diagrams, and perform on-site repairs while maintaining exceptional customer service and safety standards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience with fire alarm, access control, security intrusion, and life safety systems.
• Ability to interpret blueprints, diagrams, and specifications.
• Good working knowledge of computers.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends; travel may be required.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to lift 50–70 lbs and work in tight spaces.

Responsibilities

• Receive service calls and describe equipment issues clearly.
• Diagnose problems and repair fire alarm systems on-site.
• Read blueprints and schematics to guide repairs.
• Provide excellent customer service and obtain signatures.
• Participate in on-call rotation and after-hours work when needed.
• Organize resources and document tasks for each service call.
