Job summary

Summit Fire & Security is seeking a Fire Alarm Inspector to inspect, test, and maintain protection systems, ensuring compliance with NFPA codes and safety standards. Field duties include on-site inspections, documentation, and customer communication.

The role requires 3–5 years of experience, HS diploma or equivalent, and NICET certification where applicable, with the ability to train others and work in a team while maintaining safety policies.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent required.
• NICET and/or state certification preferred depending on location.
• Experience: 3–5 years in inspecting fire protection systems.
• Ability to train others.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, and maintain fire protection systems per NFPA codes.
• Record and report deficiencies to SFS and customers.
• Communicate with customers and monitoring companies.
• Operate inspection tools and equipment.
• Plan and complete inspections as scheduled.
• On-call for emergency service/inspection requests.
• Maintain company vehicle and tools.
• Follow safety policies and participate in toolbox talks.
• Train inspector trainees in applicable aspects.
• Other duties as assigned.
