Job summary

Summit Fire Protection seeks a Fire Alarm & Security Technician to install, troubleshoot, service and repair fire alarm and security systems with minimal supervision. You will handle components like FACP, power supplies, and initiating devices while following safety programs and documenting work orders.

The role requires NICET or equivalent certification (preferred) and 2 years of Fire Life Safety experience, with on-site travel and strong communication with customers.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
• NICET or state specific certification, preferred.
• 2 years Fire Life Safety Industry experience, specifically in Fire Alarm, required.
• NICET Level 1 Fire Alarm Certification, strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot faults to determine issues in fire alarm systems.
• Repair or replace damaged fire alarm components such as FACP and power supplies.
• Maintain knowledge of fire alarm codes and standards.
• Use Field Service Lightning to track work orders and materials.
• Complete documentation on work orders.
• Follow safety programs and participate in toolbox talks.
