Summit Fire & Security is seeking an Inspector to inspect, test, and maintain fire protection systems in the Portland, Oregon area. The role requires working with NFPA codes and sprinkler components, with responsibilities including reporting deficiencies and coordinating inspections.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent required.
• NICET and/or state certification required based on location.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, and maintain fire protection systems per NFPA codes; knowledge of sprinkler controls, alarm panels, devices and critical components.
• Record and report deficiencies of fire protection systems to SFS and customers.
• Communicate professionally with internal/external customers and offsite monitoring companies.
• Utilize tools to complete inspections (heat/smoke detectors, backflow kit, pumps).
• Plan, coordinate, and complete inspections as scheduled in a timely manner.
• Be available for on-call status as required by location for emergencies and inspections.
• Maintain company vehicle and safeguard tools; follow safety policies.
