Job summary

Summit Fire Protection is seeking a skilled Fire Alarm & Security Technician to install, troubleshoot, service and repair fire alarm and life safety systems with minimal supervision. The role emphasizes safety compliance, on-call readiness, and accurate documentation.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years in the Fire Life Safety Industry and NICET Level 1 Fire Alarm Certification or equivalent. Travel up to 20% may be required depending on location.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and communicate in English with employees and customers.
• NICET Level 1 Fire Alarm Certification preferred; other certifications may meet requirements.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, service and repair fire alarm and life safety systems.
• Repair or replace damaged fire alarm components such as FACP and power supply.
• Use required tools and test equipment to repair systems and components.
• Maintain documentation on work orders and track materials and time on job.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and safety compliance; participate in on-call rotations.
• Attend safety trainings and train service technicians as needed.
