Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Fire Alarm Service Technician to respond to service calls, diagnose issues, and repair electronic fire alarm systems at customer sites. You will read blueprints and operate with strong customer service to ensure system reliability.

Role requires 4+ years in low voltage Fire/Life Safety, with knowledge of CCTV/IT networks where applicable, and the ability to work flexible hours and lift up to 50 lbs. Hourly pay ranges from $20 to $26.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of documented experience in low voltage electrical systems, including Fire/Life Safety, Access Control, Nurse Call and Paging.
• Experience reading blueprints, submittals, and manuals.
• Knowledge of test equipment including a multi-meter and digital analyzer.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and provide excellent customer service.
• Valid driver's license and ability to work flexible hours, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, service, and repair electronic fire alarm systems at customer sites.
• Review service calls, confirm issues with customers, and implement fixes.
• Read blueprints and manuals to guide repairs and replacements.
• Perform panel repairs, reprogramming, and system testing as required.
• Support on-call rotation and document service activities clearly.
• Provide recommendations to improve building performance and reliability.
