Job summary

Tilt is seeking a Controller to lead accounting operations and build infrastructure for public company readiness. You will oversee a team of accountants, partner with FP&A and legal, and drive scalable, compliant finance processes.

As a hands-on leader, you’ll redesign operations, strengthen controls, and push automation, all while communicating clearly with auditors and investors to support growth and IPO readiness.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of accounting/finance experience, with leadership responsibility.
• Experience in fintech or consumer credit accounting and regulatory awareness.
• NetSuite power user with demonstrated system optimization.
• Hands-on operator who can build and improve financial ops.
• Curious about automation and how AI can improve accuracy and efficiency.
• Familiarity with SQL and data collaboration across FP&A.

Responsibilities

• Own the close: manage US accounting operations and consolidation under GAAP.
• Build scalable accounting ops architecture supporting IPO readiness.
• Strengthen internal controls to protect assets and ensure reporting integrity.
• Lead and develop the accounting team while contributing as an IC when needed.
• Champion automation and identify opportunities to shift work to high-judgment analysis.
• Coordinate with auditors, regulators, and investors to communicate financial position clearly.
