Job summary

Watts Water Technologies in Franklin, NH is seeking a Finite Production Planner to create a detailed, time-phased production schedule by SKU and line, balancing capacity with demand to ensure on-time, in-full delivery and strong customer service.

The planner will optimize resource allocation, monitor run-rates, and actively participate in S&OP/S&OE, reporting to the Master Scheduler and coordinating with Operations, Maintenance, and Quality to minimize delays and protect ATP commitments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, or related field; APICS preferred.
• 4+ years’ experience in production scheduling or planning in a manufacturing setting.
• Strong MRP knowledge; SAP experience preferred.
• Excellent capacity planning, lean inventory techniques; strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Translate the plans into a detailed finite production schedule.
• Generate a granular sequence of near-term process orders that fulfill planned orders while respecting asset constraints, labor availability, and changeover logic.
• Maximize adherence to the daily schedule by optimizing allocation of production resources and minimizing last-minute adjustments.
• Monitor volume requirements and participate in S&OP and S&OE processes; evaluate schedule change needs and impacts.
• Ensure ATP commitments are protected and schedule changes are communicated to customers.
• Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, and Quality to resolve execution gaps and address delays.
