Job summary

The Fountainhead Group, Inc. in New York Mills is seeking a Production Planner/Scheduler to develop and maintain production schedules that align with customer demand while optimizing capacity, labor, materials, inventory levels, and on-time delivery.

Reporting to the Vice President of Production Control and Logistics, you will collaborate with Manufacturing, Purchasing, Materials, Sales, Engineering and Quality to ensure planning data accuracy and efficient production flow in an ERP/MRP system.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and production flow.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems; Epicor/Kinetic preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple competing requirements and adapt to changing conditions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules based on customer requirements, inventory, capacity, and priorities.
• Coordinate production schedules with manufacturing supervisors and department leaders.
• Monitor production progress and adjust schedules to address delays, shortages, downtime, or changes in requirements.
• Coordinate with Purchasing and Materials Management to ensure materials and services are available when needed.
• Maintain accurate planning data, lead times, and scheduling information in the ERP/MRP system.
• Coordinate with Sales and Customer Service regarding production commitments and changes.
• Lead weekly production meetings and provide updates on current and upcoming requirements.
• Maintain documentation and planning reports.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
