Job summary

Aerotek in Batavia, OH is seeking an Assembler - Finishing to work on large sheet metal enclosures. You will measure, position, tack weld, install components, and perform paint touch-ups to ensure the final product meets specifications and quality standards.

This on-site role offers collaboration with welders and production teams, with room to grow into welding and finishing responsibilities while maintaining a safe and efficient flow on the production floor.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude and understanding of how parts fit and function.
• Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately for precise measurements.
• Experience using hand and power tools in an assembly or construction setting.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings.
• Trade school education or welding/construction certifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Measure and position sheet metal pieces according to blueprints and shop drawings.
• Perform small tack welds to temporarily secure components before final welding.
• Attach parts using hand and power tools to complete the final product.
• Install components and verify fit and alignment on enclosures.
• Touch up paint on finished products to meet quality standards.
