Job summary

Freeman Enclosure Systems in Batavia, OH is seeking a Final Assembler to join our manufacturing team. The role focuses on assembling prefabricated components according to blueprints, shop drawings, and work instructions.

The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude and comfortable using hand tools and tape measures. Responsibilities include reading blueprints, assembling components, and maintaining quality and safety standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Trade school, apprenticeship, technical training, or related on-the-job experience is preferred.
• Previous experience in manufacturing, construction, mechanical assembly, automotive, carpentry, or a skilled trade is highly desirable.
• Basic blueprint or shop drawing experience preferred.
• Basic understanding of plumbing and fittings is a plus.
• Experience with NPT and JIC fittings is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and assembly instructions to accurately assemble prefabricated components.
• Assemble, install, and secure components according to specifications and quality standards.
• Use basic hand tools safely and effectively.
• Accurately read and interpret a tape measure; a tape measure test will be required.
• Use basic mechanical and carpentry skills to complete assembly tasks.
• Apply basic automotive/mechanical knowledge when troubleshooting or assembling components.
• Install and secure hardware, fasteners, fittings, and other components.
• Climb ladders and work at elevated heights as required.
• Follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
• Inspect completed assemblies to ensure proper fit, alignment, installation, and quality.
• Identify assembly issues and communicate concerns to supervisors or team members.
• Work collaboratively with production, fabrication, shipping, and other departments.
• Assist other departments when needed based on production and shipping demands.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
