Job summary

Omni Hotels in Charlottesville, VA seeks an attentive Server to promptly and courteously attend guests, maintain cleanliness, and support dining room operations. Responsibilities include mastering fine dining service, menu and beverage knowledge, station setup, glass and silver care, and teamwork.

Candidates must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, communicate clearly in English, multitask in a fast-paced environment, work nights, weekends, and holidays, and hold Food Handlers and ServSafe Alcohol

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to clearly and pleasantly communicate in English with guests and co-workers, in person or by telephone.
• Must have strong communication skills.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to multitask.
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Must be able to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects up to 10 lbs without assistance.
• Must work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must have Food Handlers and ServSafe Alcohol Certification.

Responsibilities

• Knowledge of fine dining service.
• Must have full familiarity with menus.
• Must have full knowledge of beverage offerings.
• Station set-up and breakdown/side-work.
• To polish and clean glass and silver wares.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the restaurant manager.
• To have dollies' underliners ready.
• To fold various napkins for service
• Service to guests.
• Be pleasant, smile and greet all guests, using surnames when obtained.
• Clean and maintain restaurant.
• Knowledge of Micros Computer System
• Help other associates whenever possible and maintain a dedication towards teamwork.
