Job summary

Biltmore in Asheville is seeking Dining Room Attendants to support servers and supervisors in delivering Forbes Four-Star service. You will perform water service, bread and butter service, describe menu items and wine, and reset tables to standards while assisting in maintaining dining room and service areas.

The role requires 18+ and prior fine dining experience preferred; strong attention to detail, teamwork, and the ability to work evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar position is strongly preferred, particularly in a fine dining or upscale restaurant.
• Commitment to delivering world class guest service and the ability to work as part of a dynamic, guest-service oriented team.
• Outstanding attention to detail and the ability to perform essential job functions with speed and accuracy.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to be proactive and take initiative as appropriate.
• Should be able to anticipate and understand guest needs, and follow up with them appropriately.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Guest service: replenish table items, anticipate and address guest needs, clear dining area per procedures.
• Maintain knowledge of service procedures, standards, and departmental policies.
• Strictly abide by state liquor regulations, including prohibitions on service to minors and intoxicated persons.
• Replace soiled table linens, clean tables, and set tables with silverware and glassware.
• Maintain table settings: replenish utensils, refill water, and monitor guest spills or needs.
• Close dining facility by cleaning chairs/tables, sweeping/vacuuming floors, and removing waste.
