Job summary

Herbert Smith Freehills in New York seeks a Financial Systems Analyst to provide technical and functional support for the Aderant financial system and related applications, including time entry, cost recovery, and reporting.

The role involves troubleshooting, ensuring data integrity, ad hoc SQL querying, and developing SSRS and Power BI reports to enable informed business decisions. You will collaborate with IT and finance teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Degree in computing.
3+ years supporting Aderant Expert or similar software; legal industry a plus.
Experience with SSRS and Power BI.
Experience supporting financial system integrations and APIs.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Provide daily technical and functional support for Aderant financial system and associated systems.
Escalate complex issues to senior analysts or vendor as needed.
Document issues, resolutions, and support procedures.
Assist users with system navigation, functionality, and troubleshooting.
Develop and execute ad hoc SQL queries for data analysis and reporting.
Run standard SSRS reports and assist with ad hoc reporting requests.
Develop and maintain SQL queries, SSRS reports, dashboards, and Power BI reports.
Analyze financial data to support business decisions.
