Job summary

Accent Consulting is seeking an Accounting & Purchasing Specialist to maintain accurate financial records in QuickBooks Online, manage customer billing, AR/AP, reconciliations, and purchasing coordination for our managed IT services business.

This hands-on role works closely with leadership, technical staff, vendors, and our external accountant to ensure transactions are accurate, orders are tracked, and financial deadlines are met. Strong QuickBooks Online experience is required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of bookkeeping or accounting support experience.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online with bank/credit card reconciliations.
• Experience handling AP, AR, and customer billing independently.
• Strong Excel skills and accurate transaction coding.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records in QuickBooks Online, including transaction coding and supporting documentation.
• Prepare and review customer invoices for products, projects, and recurring services.
• Record customer payments, monitor outstanding balances, and follow up on past-due accounts.
• Enter vendor bills, verify charges, and prepare payments for approval.
• Reconcile bank and credit card accounts and investigate discrepancies.
• Review purchasing and billing records across QuickBooks Online, HaloPSA, and FlexPoint to identify issues.
• Assist with month-end close by completing reconciliations and organizing records.
• Prepare routine reports on receivables, payables, and other financial activity.
