Trinity Health Ann Arbor is seeking a Financial Counselor Specialist within Outpatient Oncology Financial Navigation to support patients in understanding costs, insurance benefits, and available financial assistance. You will liaise between Revenue Site Operations and Patient Financial Services to determine patient liability and arrange appropriate payment options.
The role requires 2-3 years in Patient Access or Patient Accounting, knowledge of billing basics, and HFMA NAHAM certifications

Status: Full Time 40 hours per week
Minimum rate of pay: $19.45

Financial advocate for the patient and a liaison between Revenue Site Operations (RSO) and Patient Financial Services (PFS). Determines liability on patient accounts and works with patients or their representatives to provide financial assistance or secure payment.
Perform activities that require standing / walking with the ability to vary / adjust physical position or activity. Occasional Lift a maximum of 30 pounds unassisted. Occasional Use upper & lower extremities, engage in bending / stooping / reaching & pushing / pulling. Frequent Work indoors (subject to travel requirements) under temperature-controlled & well-lit conditions.
