Trinity Health Ann Arbor is seeking a Patient Access Representative for the Emergency Department for an evening shift on-site. This full-time role handles outpatient and inpatient registration, insurance verification, and collecting patient financial liability while ensuring compliance with Medicare pre-certifications and referrals.
The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, HFMA CRCR or NAHAM CHAA within a year, and preferably two years of hospital registration/insurance verification

This is a fully on-site role
Provides patient focused customer service within the Emergency Department. Performs outpatient & / or inpatient registration & insurance verification functions; collects patient financial liability payments & ensures that patients meet financial requirements including Medicare medical necessity, payer pre-certifications & referrals. Provides general information to hospital users, patients, families & physician offices.
