Pima Medical Institute in Seattle seeks a Financial Aid Officer to guide students through the institutional and federal aid process, balancing compliance with compassionate counseling.

In this high-volume, on-site role you will perform data entry, verify ISIRs, manage Title IV rules, and coordinate with Admissions to keep onboarding smooth.

Qualifications

• Experience in Title IV financial aid administration, student finance, or high-volume regulatory compliance.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to navigate delicate financial conversations with patience and clarity.
• Detail-oriented with high accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook and student information systems.
• Direct experience with Pell Grants, SEOG, Direct Subsidized/Unsubsidized Loans, and PLUS Loans.

Responsibilities

• Counsel students and conduct needs assessments for financial aid eligibility.
• Apply Title IV, state, and institutional aid rules to maximize funding while ensuring compliance.
• Assist students in completing forms; collect signatures; track ISIRs.
• Complete verification on ISIRs; resolve C-Codes; audit packaging files.
• Counsel veterans and process funding per VA guidelines.
• Coordinate agency needs and verify third-party funding.
• Verify eligibility documentation and resolve overpayment issues.
• Enter packaging dates, Pell/SEOG allocations, and loan submission dates into systems.
• Collaborate with Admissions to manage onboarding and scheduling.
