The University of Alaska seeks a Finance Specialist to manage Accounts Payable, coordinate travel and invoice processing, and act as the system office security coordinator. You will provide project support and participate in cross-system finance improvements.

The role requires accounting knowledge, a technical aptitude for software and data extraction, strong analytical skills, and excellent organization and time-management abilities. Local in-person work in Fairbanks, Alaska is required.

Formación

• Three years college coursework in accounting/business, computer science and three years progressively responsible experience related to the program specialty, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Accounting knowledge and experience.
• A technical aptitude for learning software applications and data extraction.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Responsabilidades

• Lead Accounts Payable: manage system office Accounts Payable functions.
• Coordinate Finance Operations: Oversee travel, JV processing, and invoice processing.
• Security Coordination: Serve as the system office security coordinator.
• Project Support: Provide essential support for projects and participate in process improvement initiatives.
• System Testing: Conduct system testing to ensure smooth finance operations.
• Collaborate: Work closely with Finance users across the system to ensure seamless operations.
